Jennifer Harris, PhD, MA, LMHC is a Washington state licensed mental health counselor who works with adolescents and young adults, accompanying them along their life paths.

As the former director of the University of Washington’s Undergraduate Research Program and throughout her 20-year career in education, Jennifer has gained extensive experience advising high-achieving students on how they can leverage their personal strengths to help attain their goals. She also provides academic advising for those who plan to enter graduate and professional degree programs.

For many, though full of potential, finding one’s way can be a difficult and lonely journey, especially those suffering from anxiety or depression. In her current practice, Jennifer brings warmth, humor, empathy, and respect to the application of evidence-based treatments such as cognitive behavioral therapy, behavioral activation, and mindfulness to partner with clients to help them get unstuck.

Jennifer holds a Master’s degree in Applied Child and Adolescent Counseling Psychology from the University of Washington, where she also received a PhD in Education. In addition to many years working with adolescents and young adults in educational settings, she received clinical training at the Evidence Based Treatment Centers of Seattle where she provided therapy to clients with a wide range of anxiety disorders – including social anxiety, panic disorder, and OCD. Jennifer is constantly learning from what each client brings to session and relishes living and working in multicultural spaces that embrace a variety of backgrounds, ideas, and perspectives. She enjoys supporting clients through life’s many challenges and is privileged to witness their joy as they embrace their unique strengths and human imperfections to bravely make their way through their unfolding futures.
